About Fall Color Festival
The Floodwood Fall Color Festival is a beloved annual event that brings the community together to celebrate autumn, classic cars, and small-town charm. Now in its 30th year, the festival features beautiful fall scenery and a lively atmosphere, highlighted by the popular car show that lines Main Street with 144 vehicles for judging and public enjoyment.
The day begins with a pancake breakfast at the Floodwood Fair Building, followed by car show registration as engines rumble and spectators gather downtown. Visitors stroll Main Street to admire an impressive collection of classic cars, muscle cars, and vintage trucks while enjoying free corn on the cob from local organizations and grabbing a bite from Burger Barn.
The car show showcases incredible craftsmanship and dedication from builders and collectors across the region. The Top Twenty awards recognized outstanding vehicles, including the Mayor’s Choice Award, which was presented to Brad Gustafson for his restored 1947 Chevy 3600. Another standout was Bob Johnston’s 1980 Pontiac Trans Am, which earned a Top Twenty trophy after a long-term restoration project.
As the day winds down, the festival concludes with a fall “farm-to-table” experience at the event center. With great food, eye-catching vehicles, and a welcoming community atmosphere, the Floodwood Fall Color Festival continues to be a favorite destination for car enthusiasts, families, and visitors looking to enjoy the best of fall in Floodwood.
