About The 465 Greenhouse

Owned by Matt and Kindra of K&M Cattle, the greenhouse officially opened May 1 following their purchase of the former Barefoot Garden Greenhouse from Melanie and Brent Amundson.

465 Greenhouse brings together practical agricultural experience and a growing passion for horticulture. While the owners’ background is rooted in cattle farming, they have embraced this new direction with a strong focus on learning, preparation, and community support. Kindra has completed horticulture coursework in plant science, soil science, and plant identification, and has also explored greenhouse and garden center operations across the region to build a strong foundation for the business.

In its first season, the greenhouse will maintain many of the products customers have come to expect, including flowers, vegetable plants, soil, seeds, seed potatoes, and onion sets. Over time, the business plans to expand its offerings and create a distinctive, welcoming environment for gardeners of all experience levels.

A key goal of 465 Greenhouse is to support and educate customers, helping individuals gain confidence in gardening—whether starting a simple container garden or developing larger plantings. The business also values community engagement and plans to collaborate with local schools through educational visits and hands-on agricultural learning opportunities.
