About Rice River Senior Club
This organization is a friendly and welcoming social group dedicated to bringing people together for friendship, relaxation, and community involvement. While many members are from Rice River Township, the group also includes people from surrounding townships, as well as visitors and former residents from Duluth, the Twin Cities, and beyond. The organization provides a place for neighbors and friends to reconnect, socialize, and enjoy a variety of activities and events throughout the year.
In addition to its social focus, the group regularly invites county employees and representatives from local agencies to give presentations and share information on topics that are especially important to seniors. These visits may also include services such as blood pressure screenings and other helpful resources for the community.
As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the group raises funds through popular community events including spaghetti dinners and hunter’s suppers. Annual membership dues are intentionally kept low so everyone can participate. Any remaining funds are donated to charitable causes that benefit the local community. The organization shares the town hall with Rice River Township, and the hall is also available for community rentals and gatherings.
