The Sandy Beaver, nestled on the north end of Big Sandy Lake, is a lively gathering place known for great food, good times, and must-attend weekly events. Thursdays bring the popular Baggin’ at the Beaver, where a fun, upbeat crowd gathers for prizes and a festive atmosphere. A new menu came out with many old favorites and a few new ones. The Beaver Island Burger is topped with two kinds of bacon, pepperjack cheese and seared pineapple—served with hot honey, BBQ or Nashville hot sauce. Try one of their  new pizzas, and make it the way you like. Sundays keep the excitement rolling with the Sandy Beaver’s legendary Surf and Turf Meat Raffle starting around 4 p.m.

The  annual Big Sandy Vintage Snowmobile Ride takes place in early January each year.
