Recent Updates: A Modern Gathering Place


The McGregor VFW has embraced modern community engagement while maintaining its historic pride. The post recently welcomed Kathy Eken as bar manager. The VFW is open  Wednesday through Saturday at 3 p.m., and on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. for cribbage. Weekly food and beverage specials include:


● Happy Hour: 3-5pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

● Thursday: Trent’s tacos and enchiladas

● Friday: Burger, chicken strip, and fish baskets, plus meat raffles, horse races, and bucket specials (5 domestic cans $14, 5 specialty cans $16, 5 White Claw $20, 5 Carbliss $24)


New offerings include a pancake breakfast on the 3rd Saturday of the month, 8-11 a.m.
