Mark’s Bar in McGregor, Minnesota, begins a new chapter under the ownership of Chris and Tasha, who officially took over following a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the McGregor Area Chamber of Commerce on May 4. More than a business transition, the couple views the historic establishment as a community gathering place and a second home for locals. 

Chris brings decades of hospitality experience and a lifelong connection to the area, while Tasha contributes strong organizational and operational leadership drawn from her background in education, hospitality, and human services. Together, they have invested in significant upgrades, including new flooring, seating, and kitchen improvements, while preserving the bar’s welcoming atmosphere. Their vision focuses on consistency, connection, and community events such as meat raffles, live entertainment, and seasonal gatherings. With strong staff support and deep local roots, they aim to honor tradition while shaping a vibrant future for Mark’s Bar and community pride.
