McGregor Young Life
We love God and we love spending time together!
Young Life McGregor is a community-centered youth ministry built on relationships, faith, and fun. What began as a short-term stay for Lisa and Bryan Schmidt at Covenant Pines in 2020 has grown into a thriving ministry serving students throughout the McGregor area. After recognizing the need for consistent youth connection and faith-based community, Lisa helped establish McGregor as an official Young Life area in 2022—making it the smallest community in the world with an active Young Life group.
Young Life meets students where they are, creating a welcoming space where kids can be themselves, build friendships, and explore their faith. Weekly gatherings, known as “Club,” are held at the Young Life house just blocks from the school, removing transportation barriers and making it easy for students to participate. Trained adult leaders and student leaders invest in real relationships through shared meals, games, conversations, and mentorship.
Camp experiences are a cornerstone of Young Life, offering unforgettable moments for students and leaders to grow together. Each year, local youth attend camp in Detroit Lakes, strengthening bonds and creating lasting memories.
With strong community support, dedicated volunteers, and a growing leadership team, Young Life McGregor continues to impact students’ lives in meaningful ways. Through fun, faith, and authentic connection, Young Life is helping young people feel known, valued, and supported—both in their everyday lives and their spiritual journeys.
