About Edwin Lincoln

Doug Thoms’ woodworking is more than a craft—it’s a way to give back. A longtime supporter of the Lawler Area Community Club (LACC), Doug donates a portion of proceeds from every sale to the organization and contributes a prize to their annual auction. “My heart has always been to give back to the community,” he says, and that dedication is at the center of everything he creates. Based south of Lawler, Minnesota, Doug has been shaping wood into functional art for over 50 years. His one-of-a-kind pieces include charcuterie boards, lamps, black walnut coffee tables, chairs, gun cabinets, and roll-top desks. He creates replica Steamer Chests inspired by the Titanic and transforms vintage farmhouse refrigerators into unique cabinets for wine, glassware, or collectibles. He is currently building an artifacts cabinet for the Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Named in honor of his grandfather, Doug’s business blends traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, including CNC wood lasers for precise, detailed work. He also shares his expertise by welcoming people to his shop to learn his specialized craft. Doug’s work reflects both skill and heart, creating pieces families can treasure while supporting the community he loves.
